Athan Kuliopulos

Dr. Kuliopulos received his MD-PhD from Johns Hopkins and performed his postdoctoral training in protein chemistry at Harvard Medical School. He was a Judith Graham Poole Hemophilia Foundation Fellow, an American Society of Hematology Scholar and a recipient of a PEW Scholar Award in the Biological Sciences. He was recently elected to the Johns Hopkins Society of Scholars and the American Association of Physicians. His research program is focused on the signaling mechanisms of protease-activated receptors in vascular biology and cancer. Dr. Kuliopulos is the inventor of pepducin technology, a new method to allosterically modulate G-protein coupled receptors from the inside surface.
