Athan Kuliopulos, MD, PhD Director, Hemostasis & Thrombosis Laboratory Associate Professor of Medicine, Biochemistry & Genetics Tufts University School of Medicine Phone: 617-636-8482 Fax: 617-636-7855 Athan Kuliopulos Dr. Kuliopulos received his MD-PhD from Johns Hopkins in their Medical Scientist Training Program and performed his postdoctoral training with Dr. Christopher Walsh at Harvard Medical School. During his period at Harvard in collaboration with Bruce and Barbara Furie he gained expertise in the mechanisms of thrombosis and hemostasis. Since 1994, he has been a faculty member of the Tufts Department of Medicine and studies the signaling mechanisms of protease-activated receptors in vascular biology and cancer.

Lidija Covic, PhD Co-Director, Hemostasis & Thrombosis Laboratory Assistant Professor of Medicine Tufts University School of Medicine Phone: 617-636-4665 Fax: 617-636-7855 Lidija Covic Dr. Covic is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Molecular Oncology Research Institute. She studies the role of angiogenesis factors in PAR-dependent tumor cell biology. As a Research Fellow with Dr. Kuliopulos, she studied the role of the thrombin receptors in vascular biology. Dr. Covic obtained her PhD at York University, Canada in 1997, where she studied stress-induced MAPK pathways.
